Westview Centre4Women has been in operation for 17 years offering services and support to women and families experiencing difficult situations.

“During COVID our numbers of people needing help more than tripled and we needed to find more space,” said Jane LaVacca, executive director at Westview Centre4Women. “We were relocating to a place that had a large area to accommodate everyone and needed to refresh the outdated flooring.”

Jane approached the Habitat Niagara’s St. Catharines ReStore to see if they had enough flooring for the project.

“I have purchased many things at the Bunting Road location in the past. The team is always amazing,” said Jane. “They got back to me right away and the kindness shown for the program we offer was wonderful. Cheryl was super supportive and understood our need right away.”

“We are a charitable organization as well, and are grateful for the support from our community,” said Cheryl Young-Atkinson, ReStore manager. “We try our best to support other non-profits and fortunately we had skids of flooring available and were able to donate the amount they required.”

Now, Westview Centre4Women has a larger location and a new meeting space with brand new flooring that Jane installed herself.

“All of us at Westview Centre4Women would like to thank Habitat for Humanity ReStore for their support of our move,” said Jane. “This donation has helped us out tremendously!”
