Holiday event brings festive magic and one—of-a-kind treasures

THOROLD, ON The Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Hwy 20 will transform into a winter wonderland as it celebrates its 10th annual Christmas Decorator’s Event starting Saturday, November 8th.

This highly anticipated event has become a holiday tradition for many Niagara residents, offering an extraordinary selection of holiday décor, Christmas trees and entertaining essentials – all at a fraction of retail prices, and tax free!

Each year, generous businesses and community members donate beautiful holiday items from gently used treasures to brand-new décor. The ReStore on Hwy 20 is known for its unique mix of styles, vintage pieces and high-quality new items, offering shoppers hundreds of one-of-a-kind finds they won’t see anywhere else.

The event will feature more merchandise than ever before. Twenty-two skids of holiday items are ready to put on display, including over 50 Christmas trees in every shape and size imaginable. From ornaments and candles to Santas, reindeer, dinnerware and furniture, shoppers will find everything they need to make the season both affordable and joyful.

The Christmas Decorator’s Event has become so popular that customers begin asking weeks in advance when the holiday displays will arrive; with many lining up outside before the doors open on the first day.

The festive atmosphere, incredible deals, and sense of community make this event a highlight of the season for staff, volunteers and shoppers alike.

All proceeds from ReStore sales support Habitat for Humanity Niagara and help build homes in the community for those in need of a safe and affordable place to call home. Habitat Niagara is currently building six-townhouses on Plymouth Road in Welland and would like to remind the community that applications for its Affordable Homeownership Program are open.
