Dunn’s Furniture Fashions, a cherished family-owned business in St. Catharines, announced its closure after over 70 years of service to the Niagara community. Founded in 1954 by Andrew Artinian Sr., the store became a staple in our region, known for its commitment to quality Canadian-made furniture and personalized customer service.
Cheryl Young-Atkinson, manager of the St. Catharines ReStore, heard the news that Dunn’s would be closing and reached out to owners Charlie and Andy Artinian to see where the ReStore could help. In the past, Dunn’s has generously donated overstock items to our Niagara ReStores. Charlie and Andy were excited to connect again and were thrilled that our stores could be an outlet for them to donate excess stock in their closing process.
To date, we have received stunning, high-quality pieces to sell in our ReStores. The donations continue to come in as Dunn’s moves closer to closing their operations. These stylish contributions are not only sold at a significant discount, the funds generated by their sale are helping Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s homebuilding program and giving local families a chance to build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership.
