Excitement and generosity were in full gear this May as Ed Learn Ford Lincoln proudly hosted Drive to Build, a high-energy, two-week campaign designed to support Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s upcoming 6-townhouse project in Welland.
Held at its Ontario Street location in St. Catharines, the initiative brought the community together in a big way. Through the online donation platform, fun-filled employee jersey day, and even Lincoln test drives, raising $1,427 to help build affordable homes for families in need.
But that’s not all — thanks to the generosity of the community, they also collected new and gently used tools, furniture, building materials, and home improvement supplies to donate to Habitat Niagara’s ReStore valued at over $2,250!
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and spread the word,” said Sarah Pritula, Habitat Niagara director, philanthropy and major gifts. “This campaign was more than a fundraiser — it was a celebration of what we can achieve when we come together with purpose and passion.”
The momentum doesn’t stop there – Ed Learn Ford Lincoln is already planning for a second Drive to Build event this fall.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we’ve received during our tool and material drive with Ford Canada and Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to our generous community, we filled a truck in our showroom and part of a collection bin outside the dealership,” said Joanne Bezeau, new car sales manager, Ed Learn Ford Lincoln.” It’s a true testament to the power of community spirit—and we can’t wait to put these donations to work this fall to help build a home for a local family.”
