Help build a Habitat home – no construction experience required!
Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s Build Day program offers corporate and community groups a unique opportunity to team build while helping construct homes for local families.
No experience is needed—whether you’re new to construction or a seasoned pro, your group can make a meaningful impact. Your volunteer time, combined with a financial contribution, doubles your impact by supporting both the labour and funding needed to build safe, affordable homes.
Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s Women Build brings women together to learn new skills, build confidence, and help construct safe, affordable homes for local families.
This empowering program welcomes women of all experience levels – no construction background required, and provides a supportive, hands-on environment to make a lasting impact in the community.
Together, participants raise funds, swing hammers, and help build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
We’ve allocated a selection of Women Build days for our current project in Welland, with the ability to schedule more.
We’ll support you every step of the way to ensure that your Habitat Build Day is a rewarding experience. We provide exclusive build day t-shirts, steel-toed boots, all the required tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and lunch.

Payment Options
Habitat Build Day costs $3,600 which directly funds Habitat Niagara’s homebuilding program. Your team of 6 people will have an exclusive day on the build site, training provided by a skilled crew lead, a one-of-a-kind Habitat t-shirt and lunch. (Build participants must be 16 or older to participate).
Corporate build days can be sponsored via cheque or e-transfer. Habitat Niagara will invoice your company or team captain once a build date is confirmed. ***All money must be received by Habitat 1 – 2 weeks before your confirmed build day.
We can set community group teams up with a peer-to-peer fundraising page, just ask us!
We’ll assist with your registration and provide tips on fundraising (if that’s how your group plans to raise the necessary funds). When your Habitat Build Day arrives, we’ll greet and host your team on site, providing safety training and skills training to make sure that your day is nothing short of exceptional.
Typical Habitat Build Day schedule:
8:45 am – Registration
9:00 am – Welcome (Habitat 101, Safety information, Team photo)
10:00 am – 2 hours of building
12:00 pm – Lunch (provided)
1:00 pm – 2.5 hours of building
3:30 pm – Clean-up and closing remarks
