As the year draws to a close, I invite you to help families in our community achieve the dream of safe, affordable homeownership by supporting Habitat for Humanity Niagara.
With the ongoing housing affordability crisis, many hardworking families are finding it increasingly difficult to access the stable, affordable homes they need. Without this foundation, they face challenges that impact their finances, health, education and sense of community.
Meet Steve and Margarita.
For years, they struggled to find a safe place to raise their daughter, Abbey. “Not having a home creates instability and insecurity,” said Margarita. But thanks to donors like you, they now own a home they love, in a community where they belong.
“Our future is bright,” shared Steve. “We’re financially stable, connected to our neighbors, and able to provide better opportunities for Abbey.”
Since 1993, Habitat Niagara has empowered 86 families—including over 280 children—with affordable homeownership. But the need remains urgent.
In 2025, we will begin building six-townhomes at Plymouth Road and First Street in Welland, giving even more families a chance to build strength and stability.
